small percentage of what is on the web. Google claims 3 billion
documents as of December 2001 - the web actually has more like a
Trillion documents and data bases. These engines search some of those
other trillion documents. There are hundreds of search engines, these
seem to be the most popular. Many of these have links to other search
engines.
