RPEA - Who Are We?

RPEA was founded in 1958 as an association to protect and enhance CalPERS retirement benefits

RPEA is the ONLY statewide association representing all CalPERS Retirees:

  • State
  • Classified School and
  • Public Agency

RPEA has a membership of approximately 40,000 in nearly 100 chapters, including several in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.

What does RPEA do for you? -

RPEA retains a professional advocate who represents our interests before the Governor, Legislators and CalPERS Board.

RPEA informs members about Dental and Home Health Care Insurance.

RPEA publishes a bi-monthly statewide newsletter with general information and legislative updates.

RPEA offers a variety of discount programs for our members.

Categories of Membership -

Active Members:

  • Retiree/Beneficiary Members (annuitants of CalPERS) Retirees from public agencies, school districts, and the state of California.

Affiliate Members:

  • Persons currently employed whose employer contracts with CalPERS for retirement Benefits

Associate Members:

  • Persons who presently do not qualify for above membership, but who are in accord with the purpose of RPEA; i.e., spouses, other relatives, friends, etc.

Chapters -

Serve as an informational center for members to discuss issues affecting their pension and benefits.

Serve as a place tfor members to meet together for social and business activities.

Serve as a direct vital link between local membership and RPEA Headquarters

Chapter #067 - MONTEREY PENINSULA, Second Tuesday of odd numbered months, 12:00 Noon - Luncheon Meetings, Seaside American Legion Hall, Playa and Del Monte Aves., Seaside, CA.
